Megan Ferguson

Megan Fergusson began studying the viola at age 8 in her hometown of North Easton, Massachusetts. She holds degress in viola performance from Rice University and the New England Conservatory of Music, where she studied with Karen Ritscher and Martha Katz. Megan has participated in a number of summer music festivals including Kent/Blossom, Aspen and the Tanglewood Music Center where she was a fellow in 2004. Now living in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Megan is working towards a Doctorate of Musical Arts with Professor Yizhak Schotten at the University of Michigan School of Music. She is a member of the University of Michigan Graduate String Quartet and the Flint Symphony Orchestra, and enjoys teaching privately in the Ann Arbor area.
